Zero-carbon House, Ashwell

RLP Roles: Architectural Designer

Sectors: Residential, Projects of Interest

This bespoke residential house was built in the conservation area of Ashwell. With a timber frame construction and open plan ground floor with gallery and feature staircase, it has 4 bedrooms, 2 en-suite bathrooms and a basement.

Our client wanted a zero-carbon house with a contemporary interior, with a number of energy saving services, which were incorporated in our design. These included: photovoltaics, solar panels, underfloor heating and an air-source heat pump. As a result, the house achieved a zero carbon rating.
