A scheme of 155 units of new and refurbished properties on an restricted occupied site, with a contract value of £10.2m. The work will be done in phased 2 year programme, commencing in December 2009.
Procured using the Public Contract Regulations, with a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union, followed by Precontract Questionnaires and an Invitation to tender based on the NEC form of contract option A.
Applicants were selected for the ITT by an auditable process, scored using a published scale. Tenderers were all interviewed and consideration was given to the methodology of construction as well as price.
Final negotiations concerning methodology and programme were conducted in a Design and Build partnering format, with an incentive scheme.
