Three floors of new student accommodation, comprising 219 bedrooms together with communal and ancillary facilities, have been built above the basement factory and ground floor commercial space. The structure of the basement and ground floor is a traditional type, whilst the accommodation on the 3 floors above was built using modular construction methods. Value of the scheme is in the region of £8.2m, commenced in February 2003 and completed in August 2004.
