Robert Lombardelli Partnership are acting as Quantity Surveyors for the extensive refurbishment and restoration of the existing Church, to create the ‘St Paul’s Theological Centre at St Jude’s Courtfield Gardens’.
New lecture theatres, offices and a library will be created at the ‘Theological centre for London’ to rejuvenate the church into a building for teaching and learning. A room will be formed to capture the knowledge of some of the UK’s best theologians and enable it to be shared with churches and colleges around the world.
The grade II listed building will undergo major alterations including expansion of the lower floor, alterations to the ground floor, creation of upper floors and adaptation of existing lightwells.
The works also include specialist repairs to the external stonework and brickwork, new roof coverings and internal conservation works.
With a value of around £5 million, the works are due to take place during 2010 – 2011.
