64 new studio flats have been built for young people in this new Foyer building, together with management and training facilities.
The project uses partnering and modular construction techniques. The entire studio flat was constructed in a factory, and erected on site using mobile cranes. These techniques enabled reductions of 40% in construction time and 25% in cost, compared to conventional methods. This scheme has achieved Demonstration Project Status from Housing Forum.
